The Great American Cider Competition is open to all commercial cideries. Cider may be entered by the cidery, or by their distributors.
Please carefully review the Class Listing and choose the correct class entry number for your cider.
For clarification
HERITAGE: Made with the fresh juice of multi-use or cider-specific bittersweet/bittersharp apples, heirloom varieties, wild, and/or crab apples.
MODERN: Made primarily from culinary/table apples.
We reserve the right to change a cider class number if we deem it necessary.
The information you enter in the ‘Production Notes for Judging’ section of each entry will appear on the Judge’s Scoring Sheet. Please restrict information in this section to any production related info you wish the judges to be aware of as they evaluate your cider. DO NOT include tasting notes or marketing text.
All ciders entered must be available for sale to the public.
The price information requested is for suggested retail value in the United States. All prices must be listed in US Dollars. All cider should be priced according to the bottle size entered (eg. $3.00 per 12oz.)
Please make sure to ship 72oz. or more of cider (6 12oz; 5 16oz; 4 22oz; 3 25oz; 3 32oz crowlers) in bottles or cans. Sorry - no growlers.
